This client is looking for all levels of UNIX Engineers, Administrators, & Architects. The successful candidates will be primarily focused on troubleshooting complex UNIX/LINUX issues across hundreds of servers in production, lab, and customer environments. In addition, He/She will be providing operational support to multiple divisions including developing and maintaining scripts to automate tasks & deployments(s); deploy & scale production systems with minimal downtime; working closely with release engineering to script & maintain SCM & build environment(s); assist in UNIX/Infrastructure overall design, as well as secure/harden operating systems against compromise. What you need to Qualify: MUST HAVE: Minimum 5+ years stellar experience focused on UNIX/LINUX System Administration (CentOS or RHEL preferred) Strong Unix system programming experience using a shell and a higher level language Current working knowledge of modern x64-based server hardware Experience building Linux kernels and troubleshooting kernel issues TCP/IP and strong networking Infrastructure skills (DNS, LDAP, SMTP, SSH/SSL, NTP, package managers, TCP/IP internals, volume managers/file systems, etc.) Experience with securing public websites Experience administering and managing collocated servers Knowledge of L2/L3 network infrastructure including Cisco switches and routers Must be a US Citizen/Green Card holder with the ability to obtain Clearance (paid for by the client) BS/MS in Computer Science or other technology related fields (preferred but not a show stopper if your experience speaks for itself) STRONG Customer facing skills are required along with stellar written & verbal communication skills!!!! Any of the below skill sets with the above “Must Have” experience is considered a HUGE Plus and will make you stand out from the crowd!!!
